Using your sewing machine learn how to make beautiful cords, glorious tassels and fabulous beads and then combine all three to make a stylish pendant that will be ready to wear by the end of the class.

Bonded Books

Learn a variety of machine embroidery techniques involving bonding layers of fabric and paper with real leaves and use this to create a cover for a precious little folding book.

Diva Dolls

Thursday 7th & 14th June 2012

Over this two day class learn how to make yout own soft sculpted doll. On day one, you will learn how to make the head, sculpt and draw the dolls face as well as make hands. The second day will look at how to create different types of doll's bodies. As ever, a fun class which will result in everyone creating a doll with a unique personality.

These classes will explore a range of machine embroidery techniques, combined with some hand stitching using various dissolvable fabrics. The different types of fabrics available and their unique properties will be discussed and samples will be produced that can be used in a variety of projects. The classes can be taken individually or as a series, as different techniques will be covered in each class. Suitable for both beginners and those with some experience, although all students must be fully familiar with their machines.

Cut, fold, stitch and stick - using these simple techniques learn how to create individual and beautiful books. During this six week course you will learn a variety of basic book making techniques ranging from simple folded and stitched books, Japanese stab bindings and traditional book construction, using a wide range of materials.

Machine Embroidery Workshop for Beginners

17th - 19th February 2012

A structured but fun introductory course in machine embroidery designed to explore thre creative potential of your sewing machine. You will learn a range of exciting techniques using a variety of beautiful threads and fabrics. The emphasis is on confidence building. The workshops may be taken alone or as a pair as different techniques will be taught over each weekend.
